Chuck Berry 2 ~ Steve Trovato (Learn to Play Chuck Berry)Page Two

back coverI have yet to see a better guitar lesson on Chuck Berry and can't recommend this enough.

I said that about Steve's other Chuck Berry lesson too so its a tough choice. Maybe the time difference in their lengths matters but you cant prove it by me.

The beauty of this guitar lesson is that once  you learn to appreciate Chuck's I - IV - V approach you understand practically speaking how rock and roll is made from the ground up which will stand you in good stead.

Chuck Berry knew to keep Pop songs simple and used mathematics to get his lyrics to sound good over the beats of the rhythm. I read that in an interview of his from Guitar Player Magazine.

I am going to cut this short but do recommend you read the other review I mention up top as to the importance of learning to play Rock & Roll in the Chuck Berry Style. Chuck himself was influenced by Muddy Waters, T-Bone Walker and BB King.
