This is Lick Library - they want you to go to the site and register for all Tab and Jam tracks. Excuse me? I just bought 6 lessons and now I have to go register for Tab? Now if there was free Tab for this lesson that might be OK but there isn't. At least that I know of. There is no link to it, there is no mention of it. I find that manipulative and they obviously want to sell more product. I am not knocking Steve. OK we all want to make a buck or a few quid but I am knocking whoever thought up this P.T. Barnum suck them into the site ploy.
Here is your G pentatonic scale the way he describes it and I have added the notes so you know what you are actually doing
5/10, 4/7, 4/9, 3/7, 3/9,//// 2/8, 2/10, 2/12, 1/10, 1/12 = g a b d e //// g a b d e. Two octaves. Me, personally, I think 'its nice' to know the notes too and that is makes it simpler. Annoyance aside, in this case, its worth putting up with because when Steve Trovato teaches it behooves us to pay attention.
Next he ads some chromatic notes and then using a pivot point he slides the whole thing up 4 frets to Bb and plays a G blues scale - way cool this is the money shot! Seeing this technique in action! 06:33. After that we follow the menu above with more techniques, bending, vibrato, gliss which Steve demonstrates to us and in the licks section gives us quite a bit to chew on and to try and emulate.
Its a pretty darn good guitar lessons boys and girls! That will give you practice switching back and forth between the major and minor and blues scales. Buy this if you have laid the foundation.
