Easy Steps to Guitar Fingerpicking II & III - Happy Traum Page 3

Wouldn't you know lesson three is harder than the first two. Happy also uses a capo to allow himself to sing closer to his register. This is a good stuff to know if you sing and even if you don't yet sing.

Once again this technique builds on the preceding guitar finger picking skills you slowly collected like bread crumbs! So don't skip Lesson I unless you fingerpick/play guitar well in Drop D already. Don't even think about it.

I need to go back and coordinate that basic alternating thumb and plucked note sequence and across all the C-A-G-E-D fingerings if I want to play steady thumb finger style properly. You could flat pick it too and learn a lot that way but that's not the point is it?
